Lew and Ellen in Broadway Goes Pop at Center Place

Lew and Ellen present "Broadway Goes Pop" at Center Place in Brandon, Florida on Saturday, August 8 at 7pm. Tickets are $10 for seniors and members and $12 for non members. The show will take you back to the days when the radio played the great songs of Broadway which went on to become pop hits and truly are the soundtracks of our lives!

Ellen Kleinschmidt

Ellen's favorite theater roles include Maria in "The Sound of Music", Mother Superior in "Nunsense", Fastrada in "Pippin" and Florence in the female version of "The Odd Couple". As well as theater, Ellen has appeared in movies and numerous local and national commercials. In addition she has performed on various cruise lines in the US and Europe. In 2005, she was named Hillsborough County, Florida's Teacher of the Year. Ellen's versatility, lovely voice, sense of humor and winning personality have made her a favorite of audiences young and old.

Lew Resseguie

Lew spent nearly 30 years a s professional actor in New York, costarring with Angela Lansbury in "Gypsy", Barry Nelson and Delores Gray in the Broadway National Tour of "42nd St" and in national tours of "South Pacific" with Robert Goulet and "The Music Man" with John Davidson. Off Broadway and regional theater leading roles have included "Fiddler on the Roof", "Fiorello", "Guys and Dolls" and "The Sound of Music". On film, Lew was featured with Julia Roberts in "Mystic Pizza" and "Our World, Too" with Rod Steiger and Roberta Flack. In addition he created the long-running rold of Detective Sam Dwyer on "The Edge of Night" and appreared in various other soap operas and primetime series. Lew starred in the first "Broadway Pops" concert at the Kennedy Center and in several pops concerts at the White House.
